Grand Manan BirdList
comparison 2000, 2001, & 2003

Each long weekend in May the Society hosts a trip to Grand Manan Island. Following is a list of the birds spotted in 2000 and 2001 compared with 2003. (I have no idea what happened to the 2002 results.)

88 species spotted by a group of 9 adults and 4 children in 2000,
85 species were seen by 14 adults and 4 children in 2001,
while only 65 species were spotted by 11 adults.
(Either it really was quieter in 2003 or we need some younger eyes!)
