The Kennebecasis Naturalist Society usually meets on the 4th Monday of the month at St. Paul's United Church at 7:30 pm.

April 27: Ken MacIntosh lives down in Black's Harbor. He is an avid birder who will be talking about "The Birds of the Bay of Fundy". 7:30 pm at St. Paul's United Church in Sussex.

May 2: Shediac's Stuart Tingley will guide a tour to see "Waterbirds and Others". 9:00 am at Beamsley's Coffee House in Gagetown

May 2: "Potential Hazards From the Wild" at the H.J. Flemming Forestry Centre in Fredericton. 8 am to 5:30 pm

May 16: Fredericton's Jim Goltz will lead a tour of "Song Birds". 9:00 am at Beamsley's Coffee House in Gagetown

May 25: Regular Meeting - 7:30 pm at St. Paul's United Church in Sussex

May 30: Pancake Hill's Allen Gorham will lead a tour of "Gagetown Island". 9:30 am Gagetown Wharf. Water transport courtesy of Ducks Unlimited

May 30: The NB Federation of Naturalists will celebrate the New Brunswick Bird Day 98. They are encouraging clubs or groups to organize an outdoor activity that day to celebrate the event.

June 14: Hampstead's Scott Makepeace will lead a tour of "Bird Nest Sites". 7:30 am at Beamsley's Coffee House in Gagetown

June 22: Regular Meeting - 7:30 pm at St. Paul's United Church in Sussex

June 22-24: "How to Conduct Professional Botanical Surveys". at the H.J. Flemming Forestry Centre in Fredericton. Instructor: Hal Hinds, UNB botanist

Aug. 6: The New Brunswick Federation of Naturalists AGM is August 6-9 in Sackville New Brunswick. This is a combined meeting, being the AGM not only for the NBFN but also the Canadian Nature Federation. It is being sponsored by the Chignecto Naturalists' Club.

Aug. 10-12: "An Introduction to the Study of Lichens and their Role as Biomonitors" at the H.J. Flemming Forestry Centre in Fredericton. Instructor: Dr. Steven B. Selva, Professor of Biology and Environmental Studies, U. of Maine.

Oct. 22-23: "Strategies for Maintaining Biodiversity in Forest Management". at the H.J. Flemming Forestry Centre in Fredericton. Instructor: Graham Forbes, director of the Sir James Dunn Wildlife Research Centre, UNB
