Duck Pond Outing with Mary
Sollows,
Curatorial Assistant: Zoology, at the New Brunswick Museum.
A good turnout of about 18 in all, weather was seasonal with no wind and overcast.

Stimpsons Whelk and unknown marine animal & a Chitons (purplish & 3-8 inch long)

Mary showed us much of the fauna and flora of the inter-tidal zone of the Bay of Fundy. There were 2 types of Mussels, 3 types of Welks, 2 types of Periwinkles, Moon Snails, Chritons, Nutribrites, Star Fish, Sea Worms, Green Crabs, Limpets, Slipper Shells, 2 types of Sponge, & 1 unnamed fish. Also several types of seaweeds. All-in-all a very informative outing.
